The organizers of the Creativity Week are happy to announce plans to hold the See It Be It Africa programme in Lagos as part of the 2019 event in partnership with Leo Burnett Lagos.

Nnamdi Ndu, CEO Creativity Week said, “we’re delighted to partner with Leo Burnett Lagos to hold the See It Be It Africa, especially because Adebola Adegbulugbe, Creative Lead at the agency is the first and only Cannes Lions See It Be It alumni in West Africa. This is an exciting opportunity for her to share first hand all her learnings and takeaways from the See It Be It programme in Cannes.”

See It Be It is a Cannes Lions initiative that addresses the gender imbalance in senior creative leadership. It is a career development and acceleration programme for women in the creative communications industry who face diversity challenges and want to lead the way for change. As only a few women worldwide can attend the See It Be It programme in Cannes, Creativity Week is extending the opportunity to more women in Africa to experience the programme.

Fashioned after the See it Be It programme in Cannes, participants at the See it Be it programme of the Creativity Week will be immersed in a unique, curated programme of seminars, mentoring sessions, and meetings with industry leaders, both male and female. It's an experience that will raise profile, expand contacts, build confidence and accelerate participants down the path to leadership.

Lekan Lawal, COO, Leo Burnett Lagos has said that, " as a Humankind agency, we're excited to support Cannes Lions See It Be It here in Lagos. We look forward to getting involved in more noble causes like this."

In sharing her experience in Cannes, Adebola Adegbulugbe, Creative Lead, Leo Burnett, Lagos and See It Be It 2017 Alumni, said, “It’s a privilege to be part of the See It Be It programme. I had the opportunity to attend See It Be It at Cannes in 2017 and was amazed by how powerful the programme is. Having See It Be It in Lagos is a wonderful opportunity for talented Nigerian female creatives to be part of this inspiring programme and realize their own potential as creative leaders in the industry while developing a network of people who can support them as they move ahead.”

See It Be It Africa is a free to attend event and participants will have access to all other aspects of the Creativity Week including Creativity Week Seminars, Creativity Week Expo and the Pitcher Awards Night and Gala. Application to attend can be made at the Creativity Week website www.creativityweek.events. Ideal candidates should be women working in advertising, marketing, filmmaking, innovation, editorial, design, PR or related disciplines anywhere in Africa and are mid to senior level with about 5 - 10 years’ experience.
