Pitcher Awards Launches Effectiveness and Culture Categories

New Special Awards to Include African Agency Network of the Year

Pitcher Festival has announced the introduction of 2 brand new categories in the Pitcher Awards 2024. The new categories are Effectiveness and Culture. The effectiveness category has 2 subcategories, Business Impact and Societal Impact. The effectiveness jury will honour works that have not only been duly adjudged creative, but that can provide acceptable evidence of a measurable significant result in brand purpose, business goals and marketing objectives.

The Culture jury will reward PR initiatives and campaign ideas that spark or transform pop-culture, consumer behaviour or internal cultures within organisations and value chain. The subcategories here include, Use of Influencers & Brand Ambassadors, Corporate Image and Reputation Management, Use of Cultural Insights, Media Relations & Brand Storytelling, Internal Culture & Employee Engagement, Excellence in PR, Public Affairs and Lobbying.

Two new special awards have also been introduced to recognize the Africa Agency Network of the Year and the Africa Media Agency Network of the Year.

The chairman of the Festival, Dr. Nnamdi Ndu said: “The new categories will help the awards programme to become even more efficient in identifying various areas of excellence and direct the industry to consciously pursue goals in those areas. We’re grateful to members of our community, whose invaluable support, knowledge and contributions continue to help us to innovate and improve “.

Entries for Pitcher Awards 2024 will open on 1 November 2024. Guidelines for entries will be available for download from 30 October 2023. You can register on the Pitcher Festival website now to have the entries information kit mailed directly to your email box once it is released.
